BLACK AUTHOR'S INK, is an independent publishing company specializing in publishing new talent. We desire to help authors reach their growth potential with the right promotional materials, book covers, editors and readers. We believe strongly in quality over quantity so we will always give our best effort!
Our Story
Black Author's Ink was founded in 2016 by Shenaka Sullivan. Mother of 4 from Greenville, SC. Ms. Sullivan started Black Author's Ink by publishing her first book, "Sweet Agony." She didn't intend on publishing clients until she learned more about the industry and published a few more books. Obviously the universe had different plans.
When Ms. Sullivan released her first book she was contacted two days later by her first client Dyshum Jones, the author of "A Convict Story" and "The Other Level." Ms. Sullivan rejected Jones a few times during their conversation because she wasn't ready for clients just yet but Jones insisted and wouldn't back down. His 1st book, "A Convict Story" was released March 2016. Jones being a true hustler sold books throughout the United States. We lost Jones to a terminal illness in 2
